February is the month to take a look at your furry family member’s teeth an dental health. They may need a dental cleaning from a veterinarian. It is important to check their mouths and teeth at the very least once a week.
It is important to take care of your furry family member’s teeth. There are a variety of pet safe toothpastes and so many varieties of toothbrushes too. Below is pictured what we us on our doggies. However, I suggest you consult your veterinarian on which toothpaste and toothbrushes to use for your doggies.
Good dental health can prevent the bacteria from plaque entering your furry family members bloodstream. This can cause damage to vital organs. Good dental health can help prevent oral mouth pain and bad breath.
We give our doggies mint bones to help with their breath and clean their teeth. I would again suggest to speak to your veterinarian about what brand/kind is best for your doggies.
Some dogs may struggle with getting their teeth brushed therefore you may need to work up to being able to brush all their teeth. Slow and steady, go at your dog’s pace. In the end, just make sure to keep your doggie’s teeth clean and check their mouth and teeth at least on a weekly basis.
Have a Barktastic week. Remember to give your furry family members lots of attention you are their entire world. ~Charley
