Christmas is only 12 days away. I was blown away when I found out the percentages of pet parents who spend significant amounts of money on their furry family members.
Chewy.com states 94% of pet parents buy gifts for their furry family members. 58% wrap their pets gifts and 87% have stockings for their pets and put goodies in them. 65% of pet parents buy their pet’s gifts before purchasing any gifts for other family members.
According to USA Today 15% of pet parents will spend between $51-$75 on their furry family members Christmas gifts. 12% of pet parents will spend either $25-$50 or $76-$100 this Christmas on their furry family members. 60% of the gifts are treats and 58% are toys.
Some popular gifts for dogs are GPS collars, beds, blankets, treats, treat puzzles, and interactive toys. It is becoming popular now to give your dogs mentally stimulating toys.
We certainly are the family who goes over the top on our doggies Christmas gifts. They have wrapped gifts, stockings, home baked treats, and yes even their own advent calendar where we put treats in it to give to them nightly.
I know this blog post was short and sweet, but I know we are all very busy with our furry family members especially this time of year. Next week I will write about some fun holiday activities to do with your canine companion. For now Happy Howlidays.
Have a Barktastic week. Remember to give your furry family members lots of attention you are their entire world. ~Charley
