National Peanut Butter day is January 24th. This is perfect treat for your furry family members. This should be given in small amounts so as to not upset their systems. You need to be wary about brands and kinds of peanut butter you give to your dog. In the pictures below are some examples of dog- safe peanut butter.
It is important to note: NEVER GIVE YOUR DOGGIE PEANUT BUTTER WITH XYLITOL OR BIRCH SUGAR. This can cause hypoglycemia( low blood sugar)- seizures- liver failure-death. It would be best to give your furry family member a peanut which is unsalted.
Peanut butter can be used to hide pills, stuff Kongs, and spread on licky mats. Our favorite brand is Buddy Budder. Even our picky Zelda Sayre likes certain flavors. They have so many flavors to choose from. Here are just a few: Bangin Bacon, Pumpkin Pup, Awesome Apple, Barking Banana, Birthday Bash, Brownie Batter, Banana Spilt, Red Velvet, and Gimme Smores. They are still so many flavors other than these listed above. They carry full size jars and smaller pouches in case you want to try several flavors before committing to a larger jar.
The bottom line is find a dog safe peanut butter in a flavor they will drool for, and they will enjoy their treat for their favorite hooman.
Have a Barktastic week. Remember to give your furry family members lots of attention you are their entire world. ~Charley
